With a long-held passion for vintage lighting, Bryan and Donna Scott launched Barn Light Electric in 2008 in the midst of the Great Recession. In spite of the economic hardships, the couple began manufacturing light fixtures the old-fashioned way -- by hand from high-quality materials. These fixtures have deep roots in the RLM style of antique lights known for timeless designs and craftsmanship.
Along with a dedicated team of artisans, the Scotts revived the art of spinning light shades on a lathe and introduced their own porcelain enamel operation in 2012. At the time, porcelain enamel lighting hadn’t been manufactured in the United States for more than fifty years. Today, Barn Light Electric ships their American-made lighting around the world to loyal customers who appreciate quality lighting that can be customized in countless ways and is crafted to last.
