We hosted our fourth annual Light Up Your Landscape… and More event on Tuesday, September 18 in downtown Toronto, at Palais Royale.
Anticipated as the biggest landscape architecture event of the season, Light Up Your Landscape brings together over 250 top architects, designers and lighting manufacturers every year to view the latest in lighting fixtures and landscape furniture. Brighter and bigger than ever, this year’s event brought an all-new twist, incorporating indoor lighting showcases for the very first time. Set against the backdrop of the Toronto harbour, guests were introduced to new products from: Delta Light, Amerlux, Lumenwerx, Selux, Wattstopper/Legrand and WE-EF.
Attendees toasted colleagues and peers, networked, and admired the innovative showcases of the night. In an imaginative use of lighting, one of the night’s highlights was an illuminated likeness of legendary scientist Albert Einstein, which utilized a powerful fixture from WE-EF to project his image upon a tree in the distance.
Guests were also invited to enter and participate in a raffle draw. Upon arrival, guests received an event “passport” and were invited to peruse the outdoor and indoor lighting and furniture displays and speak to manufacturer representatives to receive a signature on their passport. For every signature, guests received an additional raffle ticket in the draw for the grand prize – a trip for two to the IALD Lighting Design Event in Seattle!
Special thanks to our very own Rob Montoni, Resident DJ and Lisa Hudson, our event planner from Corporate Affairs. We look forward to another successful LUYL event in 2019!
