As the story goes it may have been a lightning storm that inspired the very first lighting installation of the Niagara Falls. But it was a team of lighting designers, architects and engineers that enabled the Falls to truly sparkle, thanks to their recent lighting installation that illuminates both the Canadian and American waterfalls.
Unveiled in early December 2016, the Niagara Falls Illumination Enhancement project was spearheaded by Salex Inc. and completed in partnership with a number of prominent lighting and engineering industry leaders.
Modernizing the North American landmark’s lighting look by replacing its existing Xenon bulbs with LEDs was not without its challenges. Watch as the team’s pivotal design, installation and testing experiences are captured on film.
