Salex Turns 50!

Salex proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary on Thursday, May 18th, at Ripley’s Aquarium, a location that holds special significance as one of our lighting projects. Over 800 guests joined us for an unforgettable evening of food, drinks, entertainment, and the captivating aquarium ambiance. A highlight of the night was the attendance of Salex founders, John Gariepy and Don Hopkins, as well as the announcement of Ben Fischer, Andrew Parker, and Ross Sawin as new principals, joining Paul Hudson, Nick Puopolo, and George Katinas.

In addition to the festivities, we raised $6,000 through a 50/50 draw, with Tina Rosales from HCC Engineering taking home $3,000. Our distributors and contractors generously contributed $32,000, which was matched by a $20,000 donation from Salex and a personal $20,000 donation from Nick Puopolo, bringing the total to $75,000. These funds will allow Smiles of Innocence to purchase six IV Therapy Pumps, each costing $12,500.

But the party didn’t stop there! After the event, our staff, family, and close friends headed over to Amsterdam Brewhouse, where we partied and danced the night away. It was truly a night we’ll never forget.
