Salex was proud to provide lighting support for Carhartt’s new flagship store on Ossington Avenue in Toronto. Designed and specified by Section Architects and engineered by Hammerschlag & Joffe, the project reflects the Carhartt WIP brand’s balance of authenticity, durability, and modern design while establishing a landmark retail presence in one of the city’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.

Lighting was carefully integrated throughout the main retail space to enhance the architectural design and create an environment that elevates the shopping experience. OnLight’s RADDO track cylinders and ERCO’s Quinta recessed floodlights were selected for their reliability and flexibility, offering excellent colour rendering to highlight products with clarity and consistency. The OnLight Spottune system further enhances the space by seamlessly combining light and sound, contributing to both ambiance and customer experience. Both OnLight and ERCO were chosen for their proven performance, longevity, and ability to maintain quality over time with minimal depreciation. This ensured that the flagship would not only meet the immediate needs of the space but also provide durable, high-performing lighting that will serve the brand for years to come.
