Salex was proud to support the lighting for Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP’s new office at Toronto’s Bay Adelaide Centre, working alongside Tillotson Design, KPMB, and interior designer Sonia Bitterman of Modernist 67. Completed in May 2026, the workplace was designed to balance two important needs of a legal practice: privacy and focus, alongside the openness and visibility that encourage collaboration.
The office is organized around a gently curving perimeter, with individual offices screened by slatted oak and open areas anchored by sculptural meeting rooms and a wood-lined library. Curved forms, warm materials, and carefully considered sightlines help create a sense of connection while maintaining privacy throughout the workplace.
Lighting solutions from Lumenwerx, Artemide, and Zaneen were incorporated throughout the common areas, meeting rooms, and private offices. Selected for their versatility and flexibility, the fixtures work within the varied spaces and architectural forms of the office. Featured products include Lumenwerx Curvia Perimeter, Via 2 Reccesed, and Aera 4 Downlight, Artemide Alphabet of Light Linear, and Zaneen A3T039.
The result is a thoughtful workplace where architecture and lighting work together to support the different ways HHR’s team meets, collaborates, and works independently.
