Founded in 1890, Kubota is a global leader in farm equipment, construction machinery, mowers, and UTVs. With its origins in Japan, the company embraces the philosophy of “For Earth, For Life.” For this project, we collaborated with Mayhew and Associates and Lapas Engineering to provide tailored lighting solutions for the expansive office space. Mayhew’s design beautifully merged Canadian and Japanese corporate philosophies, creating a campus-like environment that fosters work, socialization, training, and collaboration. The design incorporated natural elements such as stone, wood, vegetation, and abundant natural light, aligning seamlessly with Kubota’s sustainability-driven “Earth for Life” philosophy.
Axis Sculpt Pendants were installed above the front desk, paired with the Signify Trugroove Recessed fixture to define the area. In the display space, Zaneen Glorious Surface and Zaneen Super G Curves Surface fixtures were used for a cohesive look, while Liteline’s Sigma Multiple fixtures illuminated the shelves. Zaneen Super G Pendants were suspended at various heights in the atrium, adding dynamic visual interest. For open seating areas in the hallways, Axis Stencil Forms Pendants were arranged into three-arm fixtures in two sizes, and Liteline CYL6 cylinders were strategically placed throughout the lunchroom.
Our lighting solutions seamlessly integrated with Mayhew’s design strategy, enhancing the natural elements and Kubota’s brand colours. The result is a harmonious and productive workspace that embodies the “Earth for Life” philosophy, offering a modern and dynamic office environment.
