Known for their business, engineering, media, and nursing programs, Ryerson University is a top choice for post-secondary education in Canada. The campus continues to expand throughout the beautiful city of Toronto. Ryerson University’s new space in one of Toronto’s most popular malls, The Eaton Centre, needed the perfect lighting for a range of office and meeting rooms, including closed private offices, closed shared offices, conference rooms, and a kitchenette.

Completed in March 2021, Salex collaborated with Zeidler and Hidi Rae to transform the space with unique and innovative lighting. Salex and Zeidler chose a number of fitting fixtures including: Aaline’s Linear Embedded in the open office and meeting room. The Yanzi S1 Suspension by Artemide was placed above the reception desk for a fun, decorative element. The café features a combination of Kuzco Lighting’s Archibald single-lamp pendants over the tables and Liteline’s cylinder luminaires over the kitchenette which complement each other for an overall modern look. Elite’s Architectural LED track heads were installed to light up the hallways. Deltalight Streamliner 85 was incorporated in the conference room along with Lightheaded’s Legacy Downlights for lighting that is optimal for collaboration and productivity. Viscor LED luminaires were incorporated throughout the space. Beghelli exit signs were installed and Wattstopper controls were implemented throughout the space.
